My Top Five 2013 Fall Anime

With the fall anime season already underway for 2013, there are plenty of quality shows for any anime fan to watch and enjoy.

The fact is, with so many great shows to view, I decided to narrow down to five anime titles I would rather watch over the rest if I had a choice. Of course, this is not to say that any unlisted anime shows are crap by any means. If anything, it goes to show that the fall season this year has an abundance of strong shows worth checking out.

Without further ado, here are my top five anime shows for the fall season in my personal opinion. In no particular order of significance.
1. Golden Time

I will happily admit that I have become a fan of the romantic comedy as of late. “Golden Time” adheres to this niche genre, but anime-style. It’s a cute show.

2. Strike the Blood

“Strike the Blood” has become a very pleasant shounen anime.

This fall season has lots of shounen anime (particularly, of the battle/fantasy-fighting genre), but I think “Strike the Blood” executes its story in a superior way than some of the other choices.

An exciting and intriguing anime.

3. White Album2

“White Album2” continues to captivate me as a romantic tale about three people who are brought together by music.

4. Kikou Shoujo wa Kizutsukanai

The main character in “Kikou Shoujo wa Kizutsukanai” essentially plays with a doll. Well, a doll he fights with in battle.

5. Outbreak Company

“Outbreak Company” is quite the wild card anime for me this season. Its premise is really wacky, but the execution of the concept carries the show. Overall, it is one of the more unique anime titles I have ever seen, with a refreshing sense of originality.

Not to mention the anime does a great job of showing homages/cameos for various anime titles out there.

Do you have some favorites for this fall anime season?

Wow! These look so good! Where do you watch your anime?

Also, since I don’t usually keep up with new anime and just try to finish anime that I’m told about. Judging from the ones you labeled, I’d have to say ‘Strike the Blood’.

Anime is very easy to find these days. All you have to do is Google “Watch (name of anme)” and you will probably find plenty of sites that stream shows for free.

Try Hulu!! No lie, they have a HUGE selection, and with Hulu Plus it’s ten times bigger. They have all the old classics (ALL of Dragonball and DBZ, Wolf’s Rain, Samurai Shamploo, etc.) and keep their new selections very up to date. 🙂

Lol I usually watch anime on Netflix and I’ve seen a little bit of anime on Hulu (Mainly Naruto Shippuden). I wonder where you can find the anime above though? Crunchyroll, maybe?

Sword Art Online, Another, Ina x Boku, and Sunday without God. I know Sword Art isn’t really fall, but I just love it too much, and with the dubs coming out (which I really am not a fan of) it encourages me to watch the subs again! ^_^

I saw a lot of advertising for Outbreak Company a few years ago when I was in Japan, but never knew much about it. Hearing you talk about it, it’s really intriguing and different to what I thought it would be.

Thanks for the recommendations. I’ll have to check some of these out!

Thanks for the recommendations! I might check them out some time (it’s so hard to find time these days >.<), some of them look really good! I used to watch so much anime, but I'm so behind these days… I got Clannad DVDs half a year ago, which is apparently very good, but I still haven't watched a single episode :S

Ace of diamonds, Hajime no ippo S3 and Gundam build fighter are my favs this season. The Winter anime is also going to full of great shows.

I am still stuck on my backlog from last season. I just finished Stella Jogakuin (which I felt was a very skillful execution of a very unambitious premise).

I have high hopes for Kyoukai no Kanata. I haven’t really started watching anything, though, because I have seven series that are backlogged, five of them just from last season.
