Everyday NhanSense – Day 37

Everyday NhanSense: Each day, I will blog about something that comes to mind. My goal is to practice writing about my hobbies, my interests, my opinions and so forth.

Day 37’s Topic: Football and card games.
What a pleasant day off.

I ate lunch with my landlord and then went over to my friends’ house to watch football with their family. As a Washingtonian, it was pretty cool to watch the Seattle Seahawks pull one of the best comebacks you could ever see in football against the Green Bay Packers.

Not gonna lie, I thought the Seahawks had lost the game at one point. I didn’t expect them to win after four turnovers with the Packers up by a healthy lead.

And then, of course, the comeback started. Or you could say the Packers threw the game away they should have won. Regardless, it was a fun game to watch in the fourth quarter into overtime.

I may be a Cincinnati Bengals fan for the rest of my days, but great football is great football to behold, and the Seahawks certainly gave everyone a reason to see why they are going to be playing in the Super Bowl again this year.

Football aside, it was great to spend time with my friends and their wonderful family. As my life is coming together, it’s nice being able to talk about stuff in a positive manner with less moaning and groaning about dire circumstances.

I am just happy to be able to set aside the negativity that was festering and just, well, be content. Absolutely content.

So it was a great evening full of football, pleasant and lively conversations about whatever and then some tasty dinner. I concluded the night by playing at a card tournament.

The tournament was loads of fun for me, and it was a nice touch that I won the whole shebang in the end. What can I say? Life is looking up for me in so many ways. It goes to show that no matter how down you feel, no matter how hard you hit rock bottom, it’s never the end until you say so.

In every sense, I was in a tough spot.

It was difficult to overcome in so many ways. It was challenging. I was frightened by all means, but I got through the worst of it. I am far from getting to where I should be, but at least I can say I am extremely confident things are heading toward something worthwhile.

Again, what a pleasant day off.
